A Florida construction worker has begun building a new home in a community that was devastated by Hurricane Irma, building a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home with 1,000 square feet of floor space.
The Florida Times-Union reports that the home, which is expected to be finished in late September, will be located in the community of Palmetto Beach, about 100 miles southeast of Orlando.
The home was built for a construction company called the Construction Services Corporation, according to a Facebook post by the construction company.
The post said the home will be used as a rental property and would be located “in a community of 5,000 people.”
The house is being built by Construction Services, which also works with several companies that are trying to rebuild the damaged community.
The group said in a Facebook statement that the structure will house two bedrooms and one bathroom and will include a pool, a decking shed, and a backyard garden.
It’s not yet known when the home is expected for sale.
